Just to be sure I understand you correctly....

1. You connect to VATSIM using vPilot using the Connect button
2. You attempt to file a flight plan, but something is grayed out

In that order

Please confirm that you have already connected to VATSIM when trying to file, and please confirm what is grayed out.

Can you please post a screen shot of your vPilot application window(s) when you are encountering the issue? Also, does it happen every time you attempt to file a flight plan?

I don't mind, but I'd suggest you post it on the forum so you're not limiting who can help you to just me. Posting on the forum would enable lots of other folks, including Ross (the software developer) to see and try to help.

It still looks like you are not connected to VATSIM. You must be connected to VATSIM in order to be able to file a flight plan.

It also looks like your simulator isn't running, either, as your Connect button is grayed out.

Do me a favor and move your flight plan window off of the main vPilot window and send that screen shot. I'm most interested in seeing the messages in your Messages window.
