I've been having trouble with the arrival filters. I'm having the aircraft ending up coasting instead of automatically being dropped.

I'm using a 5 mile circle centered on the coordinates of KSLC and have a ceiling of 5,000 ft (SLC elevation is 4,300). However, I'm still having aircraft coast once they hit the runway.

Any ideas why the track isn't dropping? It seems that all the criteria to drop the track listed in the Facility Engineer's guide are being met.

The aircraft has a flight plan arriving at SLC?

The aircraft did have a flight plan to SLC (and that showed up in my Tower List), was within the 5 mile radius, and below the ceiling. The only thing that I thought it might be was that the aircraft dropped below the radar before slowing below 180 kts. I was pretty sure the aircraft was slower than that, though...

If that is the case, could I try setting the floor slope angle of the radar to zero?

What is the radar site location relative to SLC? And what is the radar elevation and floor slope?

I placed the radar slightly to the south east of the airport (approximately 2 miles from the center). The radar elevation is 4227 and the slope is 0.300.

Seems like you should be fine ... let me know where I can download your facility file and I'll try it out on my dev server.

Michael, the problem is that the arrival filter volume is set for "SLC" when it needs to be "KSLC".
