Hi guys,

Just to let you know: I'm developing a simple but powerful tool that generates a .vmr file from the AI Aircaft you have installed in FSX (and I'm willing to share it with you). Expected release date will be end of May.

For more info http://www.lekseecon.nl/VMRGenerator.html

regards,
Nico

Excellent Nico Smile

Decided to generate separate files for the three packages installed, will make tweaking easier.

Thanks VERY much!

I'm having a hell of a time. Just built a new PC (had IVAO models working just fine on old one) and can't get them to work at all now.

running the AC_IDs program from IVAO results in some comdlt32.ocx error.

Running your program here results in a "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect error.

The side-by-side error makes me think you have a missing Visual C++ redist package you need to install. The actual log entry in the 'Application' system event log will point to the exact version you're missing, however... as a guess, try installing: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update

Hi Lance,

That's probably because you have not installed SimConnect yet...

If you want to run vPilot you need SimConnect. But anyway, I've just released a new 1.4 that does not need SimConnect , so please download again and see what happens.

Nico

VMRGenerator does not need any C++ distributable packages.

The problem is probably a missing SimConnect (most vPilot users will have it that's why you probably have not noticed it).
You must know that I had put in code already for 1.5 (not documented yet) where it will use SimConnect to test each livery found (installed in FSX) upon whether it can be created or not. This to prevent red object not created messages or even (annoying) FSX crashes during a virtual flight. Scanning my AI packages I have found 5 liveries that make FSX crash, and about 150 that could not be created.

Nico
